Can you volunteer as a repairer?

Cambourne Repair Cafe is looking for volunteer repairers to help out at future Repair Cafe’s. We are looking for people with the relevant skills and experience to be comfortable attempting to repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical items (e.g. clocks, toasters, blenders, kettles, lamps, coffee machines, headphones, sewing machine and toys), bicycles, clothing (sewing) and potentially computers and furniture. The events are run by volunteers and usually last for 3 hours and free cakes and drinks on offer. Repair Cafe’s are non-commercial and there are no guarantees that an item can be repaired. The basic principle is to match people who have broken items with people who like fixing things!

Cambourne is part of a growing Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network. More details are available here.

If you are interested in volunteering as a repairer, or just helping out with the organisation and running of future events, please email cambournerepaircafe@gmail.com.

Thank you
