Cambourne Town Council aims to be a Best Value Organisation by balancing the precept, supporting the local economy and providing quality amenities and services for the benefit of the residents.
Mission Statement
Cambourne is a new and thriving community that was formed under the Parish Council of Cambourne Order, 2004. The first elections took place on the 10th June 2004 with the newly formed Councils first meeting taking place on the 14th June 2004. When the Parish Council was formed it had no assets to look after, but was consulted on what was to be transferred over the period of the development of Cambourne.
The Parish Council took over from the MLCC which had been formed to fill the void until the Parish Council was established. The Parish Council became a Town Council in 2019.
A short history of Cambourne can be read on pages 6/7 of the Parish Plan document. Read more about Cambourne here.
The Town Council has 19 councillors and meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month except for August. All Council meetings start at 7pm and are located in the Hub meeting room at the Hub Community Centre on the High Street in Cambourne.
