Cambourne is a growing Community which is served by Cambourne Town Council. As Cambourne develops the Town Council is transferred facilities to make Cambourne a sustainable Community. The Town Council is responsible for the maintenance and letting of substantial number of community facilities.
The following job vacancies are:
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Full time appointment
The post holder will work in a friendly, supportive environment alongside the existing Town Office staff, to work as part of the Town Council administration. Specifically, in Community Development – providing a range of the council’s social initiatives, action plans and/or policies relevant to specific program areas for people who live, work or study in the Cambourne local government area. To act as the Lead officer for Public Relations, Web Site and Social Media.
TRAILER PARK SECURITY
Part time appointment
The Trailer Park security role will be to look after the Council’s Trailer Park, locking and unlocking the facility at set times and intermittently carrying out safety checks of the site. There will be a requirement for evening and weekend working.

COMMITTEE CLERK AND OFFICE MANAGER
Full time appointment
The post holder will work in a friendly, supportive environment alongside the existing Town Office staff, to work as part of the Town Council administration. Specifically, in providing support for the governance of the Town Council and Managing the office to ensure the Councils objectives are met. To support the Council in managing the Committee Functions.
GROUNDS PERSON or APPRENTICE GROUNDS PERSON
Full time appointment
The post holder will work alongside the existing Grounds Maintenance Team under the leadership of the Head Groundsman and leadership team to assist in ensuring that any land, property, facilities or resources that Cambourne Town Council (CTC) is responsible for is maintained and, where possible enhanced, to an agreed high standard.
APPRENTICE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
The post holder will work in a friendly, supportive environment alongside the existing Town Office staff carrying out general office administration duties and assisting with the booking of the Town Council facilities.
Training will be provided whilst studying for a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification at Cambridge Regional College.
The Business Administration apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge required to become a highly effective member of almost any organisation. The apprenticeships is delivered mostly in the workplace through assessor-training visits and it offers a wide range of optional units specific to the needs employers and your particular interests such as diary organisation and minute taking.
